We deliver our gratitude to all the people who give us much support to make remarkable development during our 60 years history.

Since its founding in 1954, Seoul Women’s College of Nursing has only sought to foster outstanding and competent nurses. Maintaining the pride of a nursing college with a single nursing department, we have devoted ourselves to specialized nursing education and to producing more qualified and specialized nurses by enhancing the quality of education with an emphasis on nursing practices in order to actively respond to clinical fields. In addition, we do our best to strive forward in the global stage by improving the global talents of all students through the cooperation with other foreign institutes in America, Japan, and Taiwan. With about 10,000 graduates at present, our college becomes the top nursing college that produced the biggest number of nurses in our country. The graduates of our college have lived their lives as nursing leaders in the various nursing fields such as hospital, public health administration, education, and politics.

Among our graduates, about 1000 nurses in America and about 150 nurses in German actively serve their professional life in health care, and this is clear indications that Seoul women’s College of Nursing is moving beyond Korea. Two graduates of our school had the highest scores in national nursing license examination in 2012 and in 2013, respectively. The employment rate of the college marks high every year. In 2012, JoonHo Shin, who was a vice-chairman of Lotte Group and proved his excellent leadership in business, was appointed as a chief director of the foundation, declared the new slogan, “the Second Foundation,” for the college and promised that he would contribute himself to paving the way for the success to make a new leap up toward the world. All-out efforts began toward remarkable breakthroughs in such a short period of time. Last year, the college was appointed as a 4-year nursing college, and now, we can produce nurses with bachelor’s degrees in nursing. We also obtained a certification from Korea Accreditation Board of Vocational Higher Education with the best score in the college evaluation. Seoul Women’s College of Nursing will be soaring to be the best, the most powerful, and the most advanced nursing college with the great devotion of excellent professors, competent faculties, and 10,000 alumni of the college.
